Nicky James (2 April 1943 – 8 October 2007), born Michael Clifford Nicholls, was a British musician and songwriter. James was born in Tipton, Staffordshire, England. He attended Park Lane School, and at age sixteen moved to Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. After moving to Birmingham he first performed with various musical acts involved in the early "Brumbeat" scene.

About the Author: James A. is the author of several novels. Having taught for many years in West Seneca, New York, he is enjoying retirement with his wife Jeannette.

When a man reaches a certain point in his life, he sometimes find the things he'd always found comfort in and believed in seem no longer able to sustain him. Nick Civetta is one of those men. Finding his world crumbling around him and helpless to stop his decent into an emotional hell, he leaves his wife and embarks on a journey that will take him not only back to his roots, but into the veiled regions of his mind. Whether a reconciliation of his conflicting emotions will come through divine intervention is doubtful, at best. But come it must, and soon, if Nick hopes to salvage his life and find his way back to sanity.
