I always felt in past relationships that I was "settling" when the relationship had become very comfortable, but . I know a woman who has settled for someone she doesn't really love.

I always felt in past relationships that I was "settling" when the relationship had become very comfortable, but ultimately unfulfilling. When I asked her why she stayed with him, she said that years of dating and on-and-off relationships with this man led her to conclude that she will not find anyone better. This feeling is usually compounded by age, hence the statement "I'm not getting any younger". 15k views · View 11 Upvoters.

I won't settle for less than great for me so I've always been single

I won't settle for less than great for me so I've always been single. I really don't understand the need to be in a relationship just for the fact that most girls feel. A woman who had a good relationship with her father and saw her father treat her mother right, will see and appreciate these things in a guy. There are women out there who flat out will ignore and not appreciate the good qualities in a guy, then there are others who will see that and appreciate it.

This book is full of practical tools to guide women toward God’s heart in their search for the right guy. Author Elsa Kok explores with the reader whether she is spiritually ready for a relationship, whether the man she’s dating is spiritually ready, and whether God is at the center of their relationship. Each chapter includes simple quizzes to help a reader find her motivation for dating and whether or not her relationship is God-centered.
This book was very empowering to woman of any age in a questionable relationship, but most importantly, the people who pick up this book have some red flags in a relationship and may not have the self esteem, respect for themselves, uneducated about relationships, may have fear, or not in a position to fully trust God in their lives to get out of a bad relationship. This book felt like I was being encouraged and it was modern, it wasn't one of those "save yourself until marriage or that God will show you who is the one" type of book. It was deep and to the heart to be honest with yourself and that God wants you to have the best partner because he loves you.
I gave this book to a family member who is quite religious and was coming out of a tough relationship. The key here is that the family member is quite religious and was accepting of the basic religious premises of the book. She found it quite helpful in casting her unsuccessful relationship in a new light and in starting out fresh with a new perspective. On the other hand, anyone lacking the religious perspective would find this not as helpful.
OMG...if I had this book before getting married I would have been saved from going through a divorce now. This book really opens your eyes as to what you need from a spiritual stand point in order to know if a relationship will last. I would recommend this book to all people who are thinking about getting married. Quick read as well.
This was a great book and it spoke truth!!! I encourage every single woman who wants to someday marry to read it!
A helpful book as I await God's best for me. Elza is an awesome person and author. I facilitate DivorceCare and this book is to use in that class as well.
Loved the title of the book, but was not crazy about the content. Was looking for something with a bit more depth, not generalities. Stopped reading the book and just gave it a passing glance. Was disappointed in the lack of real life difficulties and realities.
I was very disappointed in the service. When I went to pay for this book I was told that if I place my order before a certain hour (on a Monday morning) the book would arrive by that Thursday. Well, the book arrived on a Thursday for sure but it was more than 2 weeks after the order was placed. I was not happy. This is not my usual experience with on-line purchases, but I was counting on this item reaching the address on a timely basis and it did not happen. Can't actually attach a rating, as I am still waiting for it to be forwarded to me.
This book is great for the person already dating as well as one preparing to enter into the realm of dating (or courtship).
The 1st half of the book has quick tests at the end of each chapter to help you evaluate where you are, as well as advice and encouragement. The next few chapters are to evaluate your boyfreind, along with tests, and evaluations of where he is, as well as advice and encouragement. Then a chapter on your compatability (spiritual oneness) and finally chapters to evaluate how to walk away when it is not a good relationship, or stay if he is the one for you.
