Last Flight of the Goddess (2006). Last Flight of the Goddess was hysterically funny, enjoyable, and touching all at once. Ken Scholes is one of the better writers you’ve never heard of. Or perhaps you have, if you read small press mags such as Talebones, in which case you may still not know he has a book (admittedly thin) out. It’s Last Flight of the Goddess, and it begins with I shed no tears when I put the torch to my wif. .It is warm and loving, and a very enticing invitation to look at any future item with the Scholes name on it. - Analog. Not many writers can pull that of. n addition to being a great read, it’s a pretty book.

Ken Scholes completes his five-book epic that began with his acclaimed first novel Lamentation. The battle for control of The Named Lands has captivated readers for ten years as both characters and readers have learned the true nature of world called Lasthome. Believing that his son is dead,Rudolfo has pretended to join with the triumphant Y'zirite forces-but his plan is to destroy them all with a poison that is targeted only to the enemy.
