I am a professor at a state college and I use this book as a text book every time I teach a class that includes advance creative drama and applied theatre concepts. I will also be using it for a similar class in our new Masters program leading towards theatre certification. I am using it to teach an undergraduate class for the 4th time. All students report that it is very accessible and informative. It is a very comprehensive look at all applied drama across a very wide spectrum. Each chapter does an excellent job of explaining the particular technique and giving great examples of how it was used for the individual writers of each chapter. There are not many books that comprehensively look at Applied Drama to begin with, but I found this one to be the very best. Even if you are not a teacher or a therapist, you will find this book to be a very accessible read. It will give anyone, no matter their background, a great understanding of how applied drama has found its way into a multitude of settings taking on many different personalities in the process.
it's a very useful handbook for practice in psychodrama.
