From a bestselling brand author comes a captivating novel about family ties, romance and leaving the past behindTwo very different sisters, Mia (still in love with Alejo, the married father of her daughter) and Britt (the ice maiden, who has ironically written a romantic bestseller), join a luxury honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean where Britt is the guest lecturer. Also on board are recently widowed Leo, still reeling from the discovery of his wife's betrayal just before her death, and Steve, a ship's officer who's soon looking for more than a holiday romance with Mia. Can Steve replace Alejo and is there any chance that Britt and Leo can see that they really should get together? When the characters head for home - Mia to Spain, the others to Dublin - it seems that all romantic options are off, especially as Leo rashly got engaged to glamorous, man-eating Pippin while at sea. But love has a way of triumphing in Sheila O'Flanagan's novels, even if it takes till the very last page...
I needed something light-hearted to get me through a rough patch. Never did I think I would end up so intrigued to know what happened next. So, when I accidentally left my first copy of this book on a flight from Christchurch to Auckland, I simply had to buy another copy. I'm so glad I did!! Really good read. Loved the ending!!
Mia and Britt are sisters but they couldn't be more different. Mia is stuggling to get by with toddler daughter in Spain. While Britt has just taken Ireland by storm with her first book. Asked to go a cruise to talk about her book and after her agent hurts herself Britt asked her Mia to go with her. While on the high seas Britt meets Leo Tyler a man who is hiding some deep pain and Mia cruise employee Steve. But the road to love is hard for the sisters but the reward maybe worth the struggle.
"The Perfect Man" is the second book by Sheila O'Flangan and while I liked it I did find myself checking how many pages there were until the end. It seem that Ms. O'Flangan could have finished the book sooner than she did. I like "The Perfect Man" by I an not sure if it will stay on the bookcase.
This book was totally okey. I enjoyed it but it wasn't amazing. It is a very long story, too long for what actually went on in the book. I usually can't put books down when I start to read but this book was just to slow. It felt like it didn't really happened much so I felt myself have a bit problem to finish it. I just kept thinking about the next book I wanted to read and that is never a good sign. But it wasn't bad. I really enjoyed the way the two sisters worked on their relationship and got closer to each other. But there was not all that much romance in the book. I thought there would be more since it was implied at the cover (at least in my opinion it was). Any who. Absolutely readable but not a "go out and buy it right now" kind of book!
