Molly Bang's luminous pastels and gentle, rhythmic text tell a sto Catch. Little by little, so no one notices, the ball floats out to sea. All alone, it travels above the fish and below the gulls, and drifts into a storm. Tossed by waves all through the night, it sails ashore next day to a hug and a home. Molly Bang's luminous pastels and gentle, rhythmic text tell a story that is both exciting and reassuring.

Yellow Ball Hardcover – 4 January 2016. by Molly Bang (Author). Such a simple story that allows the child to find the yellow ball in each picture. I just bought it again for the next generation of kids in my family.

Yellow Ball Hardcover – 4 January 2016. I definitely recommend.

The yellow ball is forgotten at the edge of the water. Together, pictures and text are at once a lyrical adventure and an invitation to beach lovers and ocean gazers to journey far from shore and explore the wide-open sea. During a beach game, a yellow ball is accidentally tossed out to sea, has adventures, and finds a new home.

About the Story I thought of a story of a ball that went to sea and was found again, and this is it. It is a story many people have thought of. One example: two years after the book came out, a woman claimed that it was her own story that she had sent to Morrow several years before, but about a red ball. It was only because we had kept correspondence that was dated before her version was received, and I had notes about it in my journal, that we could reassure her that I'd come up with the idea on my own.

Paperback book
I am so happy that this book was re-issued. It was my son's favorite book when he was a toddler. Such a simple story that allows the child to find the yellow ball in each picture. I just bought it again for the next generation of kids in my family. I definitely recommend.
A wonderful story with beautiful illustrations. It spurred on discussions of perspective, weather, losing things, finding things, being home.
2 1/2 year old granddaughter now reads it to herself. It's her new favorite book. 5 stars just are not enough!
This book is so simple but my one year old adores it. She asks to read it all the time!
Beautiful book!
A simple book that you will read over and over again. Yellow ball will become a family favorite - we are reading it with the before Five in A Row program.
My son loves it
