Extremely hard to follow at points unless you've very well acquainted with the area's geography. I tried finding a map of the area, at the time (not easy, but I also don't really know where to look past google) and it still didn't help very much.
Alexander Gardner (1785-1877) was a Scottish-American adventurer and soldier whose memoirs detail a wild life in Afghanistan and the Punjab as he rose to be an officer in the army of the Sikhs. It has been claimed that this account is so full of tall tales that the truth of the whole work falls under suspicion.
