Self centered book where in the end Patreaus' true colors shown; "knock on wood" I don't think so!
if you have read the "4th Star" ( Cloud and Jaffe ) and the Vanity Fair article by Mark Bowden, their is nothing new in this book

Maybe a good starter
This book is straightforward and highly informative. The author does an exceptional job of putting General Petraeus' life and professional accomplishments in the context of broader events. It's not a tell-all and doesn't seek to be. Rather it explains his life and especially the Iraq War. Students, those interested in military history, and readers simply looking for a good telling of the story behind a prominent US military leader, will enjoy this book. I highly recommend it.
