Being the Log of Captain John Sirius", was written 18 months before the outbreak of World War I and first published in the Strand Magazine in July 1914. It depicts an imaginary country in Europe fighting - and defeating - Britain, and is intended to direct public attention to the great danger (submarines) which threatened the country.

I am a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and also die hard fan of Sherlock Holmes. I never do any book reading much but his interesting character Sherlock Holmes made me to read his fictional Part 7 Stories of Sherlock Holmes which made me to watch his all Series starred by Professionally known Jeremy Brett to recall all his 7 part book as series successfully. Though Sherlock Holmes may be a fictional character but only fewer people in those days and these days knew that it is none other than his own professor Dr. Joseph bell’s fictional portrayal is Sherlock Holmes
