On October 4, 2011, Samhain Publishing will release my novel Wolf’s Edge. It’s the fourth book to feature Milwaukee homicide detective Dominic Nick Lupo, after the previous novels, Wolf’s Trap, Wolf’s Gambit, and Wolf’s Bluff. The paperback release of Wolf’s Edge is slated for January, 2011. Since I have a foot in both the thriller and horror camps, it’s understandable that my fourth novel in the series begun with Wolf’s Trap (a Bram Stoker Award nominee in 2004), would continue to tell parallel past and present stories about Detective Lupo.

The Nick Lupo Series Book Four. Horror, Thriller, Crime/Suspense, and Urban Fantasy combine for one explosive mix! Urban Fantasy fans who crave edgy, graphic horror elements especially will want to take note of this series.

The Nick Lupo Series Book Four.
I've been a big fan of Gagliani's work for some time now, and his Wolf series is my favorite werewolf series I've ever read. I love the Nick Lupo character (a werewolf who is also a cop, talk about battling your inner demons) and in Wolf's Edge, Lupo returns with a vengeance. There's a group of nasty wolves after him, you see, who want to keep him from interrupting their plans to engineer a race of super werewolves, and they will stop at nothing to do it. The result is a breathless rush through violent clashes and nearly nonstop mayhem that will (almost) make you want to close the book and take a few breaths before diving back in. Except you can't, because Gagliani has hooked you so expertly with his characters you can't wait to see where he takes them.

As with all of his work, Gagliani keeps the blood content high and the eroticism ever present. It's a blast to see Lupo pitted against an even stronger group of wolves and watch him fight his way through. But what I loved the most about this novel was his filling in of Lupo's backstory, which involves Nazis in Italy and contains enough religious symbolism to make things come together nicely.

Gagliani doesn't pull any punches, and his writing is confident and carries the story forward without getting in the way. I think this is the strongest entry in the series to date, and I can't wait to see what he has planned next. Highly recommended for horror and thriller fans.
I watch for each new book. The latest was more graphic than the others but the characters and the storyline are very good. I would hope that the series continues.
Wolf's Edge
Sorry about the pun, but this installment in the Nick Lupo series does have a bit more edge to it than the others, just as the title suggests. And that's a good thing! I was afraid author W.D. Gagliani might wrap up the series with this, the fourth book, but apparently not. Without being too much of a spoiler, let's just say the novel builds to a thrilling yet satisfying climax, followed by a bit of a cliff hanger in the denouement. That tells me another one must be on the way. It can't come out a moment too soon for me.
Loved this book, this man knows how to write a good Werewolf story!
Another great chapter in this series...non stop action. No spoilers from me, but if you like your werewolf stories on the darker side this/these books are for you. Love the story telling manner of using each characters view point.....love that! And non stop action always leading the reader to say one more page...until you are done. This stories builds and builds and keeps you wondering what will happen next, with an ending scene that HAS to lead to another book! A+++++ Once Again W.D.
One of the Greatest books since the Howling. It's the Howiling meets Captain America. Please keepup the good work.
I love this series. Finally a real monster story that's not just another exhausting love story. The werewolves are vicious, and the story is intense. Can't wait to start the next book.
Love this series, it will keep you reading
