Molly was still homesick and the thought of being away from the shelter gave her joy, but the thought of being out in the world instead of being in someone’s home scared her. I’m not an outside cat. Someone will get me out here, won’t they? Words that were just thoughts at first were now words. Someone will get me out here, won’t they? Words that were just thoughts at first were now words that ended up coming out of Molly’s small triangle-shaped mouth as her belief system.

When Molly sneaks out of a basement window she finds that life as an outdoor cat is nothing like she had expected
Nice book - gave as gift so I don't know if recipient loved it, but I did!
I just fell in love with Joseph Bonsall's "Molly" books. I needed a Keep forever gift for a new baby coming into the family and this fit so well. All four of the books are charming, they can be read to a child and later the child will enjoy reading them and looking at the beautiful illustrations.
Cute stories
All four books will be read to our grandchildren when they visit our home. I read another book by Joe Bonsall and really enjoyed his writing style, so I knew I would enjoy all four of these children books.
The Molly book is wonderful, so filled with sweetness. I loved that the cats pray to the God of all Creatures, and show such caring about each other. I can't wait to read the rest of the books and to give them to my granddaughter. I do hope the mother cat gets away from that awful farm and finds a loving home, too.
I was hopeful after reading all of the reviews, but this book was just plain odd, un-entertaining and hard to follow. Maybe we need to read the other books in the series in order to follow who was who. My son, who loves to read books, turned to me after a few pages and said it was boring. I was grateful he didn't want to finish reading it since I was bored with it as well by the end of the first page. |I finished reading to myself later and still never saw how people could give this even three stars, let alone five.
This is one for the donation pile.
Christian propaganda disguised as a child's book. Glad I checked it out from the library and didn't have to pay for this garbage. Story is totally lame.
