In fluid dynamics, the Taylor number (Ta) is a dimensionless quantity that characterizes the importance of centrifugal "forces" or so-called inertial forces due to rotation of a fluid about an axis, relative to viscous forces. In 1923 Geoffrey Ingram Taylor introduced this quantity in his article on the stability of flow. The typical context of the Taylor number is in characterization of the Couette flow between rotating colinear cylinders or rotating concentric spheres.

Book helped me really good throughout my semester, it was shipped on time and most importantly, all the pages where their. No rips, torns, or marks, definitely a thumbs up !
This book is a gem. Even though Amazon has it categorized as a children's book, it's actually one of the best reviews of whole number arithmetic for adults. It also covers factorization of whole numbers in quite a bit of depth - not just as a sidebar to working with fractions like it is in many books. It also covers exponents. There are word problems too, and many pages of practice exercises. The book is designed to be written in, and provides plenty of space to work out the exercises.

For many years this was the textbook for the Arithmetic of Whole Numbers course (sort of a pre-pre-algebra) at the community college where I teach. We finally dropped it because it's out of print, but we never did find a replacement that's that's equally useful. I'm glad to see it's still available here, because it's a one-of-a-kind resource.

Oh, one thing it doesn't have is order of operations - but that's more of a pre-algebra topic.
