It is not actually very well written The most convincing origin of the Book of Mormon theory I’ve bumped into was that it was written by the monks of the Ephrata Cloister, particularly the Zionitic.

It is not actually very well written. Joseph was not formally educated and there are differing reports from neighbors in the area about his intellect. We do know he read the bible quite a bit in his youth and loved telling stories. The most convincing origin of the Book of Mormon theory I’ve bumped into was that it was written by the monks of the Ephrata Cloister, particularly the Zionitic Brotherhood, who came from Mormont Belgium.
